The Chinese scientific institute (CAS: Chinese Academy of Science) computer technical laboratory (ICT: Institute of Computing Technology) development of the Loongson processor is continued from 2002. Loongson does not utilize the instruction set of x86 which is adopted with Intel and the AMD make tip/chip,to patent utilizesthe instruction set which is converted with MIPS Technologies.
